Senigallia kitesurf spot, Italy

Towards the end of our Adriatic road trip where we checked out the kitesurf scene in Croatia and Montenegro, we made a quick stop in Senigallia after arriving in Ancona with the Split ferry. Unfortunately there was no wind on the day, but at least I got some info from Simon, the local instructor

Local club? Senigallia kitesurfing ESD

Best time for wind? Spring and autumn, thermal.

How busy does it get here? Maybe 25 kites, more in the weekend. The locals have really started to discover kitesurfing.

Can you get lessons? Yes. IKO certified school. For example 7 hours course €300.

Can anyone use the beach? Yes, with a €10 day pass with insurance, storage shower etc, €5 following days. Outside summer months you can launch and ride anywhere, but during summer only from the center because of the swimmers.

This place looks proper chill, and is very close to central Senigallia which is a cool place, so do check it out if you’re in the neighbourhood.
